Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using Maccess. By using the app you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Maccess (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. The Service
Maccess lets you control and access your Mac from your iPhone, including local network access, remote access, screen mirroring, trackpad and keyboard input, media controls, file transfer, app and window management, system controls, and the Mackie assistant. Available features depend on your devices, your network, and the Maccess Helper running on your Mac.
3. Accounts
Some features require signing in with Apple. You can use local access features without an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your Apple Account, and for all activity that occurs through your account.
4. Pairing & Device Access
Maccess connects your iPhone to Macs that you own or are authorized to control. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to access any Mac you pair. Do not use Maccess to access devices or data without authorization.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to: (a) access devices or data without authorization; (b) violate any law or the rights of others; (c) interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure; (d) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law; or (e) resell or commercially exploit the App without our consent.
6. Mackie
Mackie helps you perform tasks on your Mac using chat or voice. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, and you remain responsible for reviewing any action before relying on it. Do not use Mackie for tasks where an error could cause harm, data loss, or other damage.
7. Purchases & Subscriptions
If the App offers paid features or subscriptions, purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Maccess Pro is an auto-renewable subscription; it renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Prices and features may change. Refunds are handled according to Apple's policies.
8. Intellectual Property
The App — including its design, code, and trademarks — is owned by Maccess and its licensors and is protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
9. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services, such as Apple services, AI providers, and cloud infrastructure providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maccess shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or device functionality, arising from or related to your use of the App.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time and remove pairings from your devices.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country or region of residence to the extent required, and otherwise by applicable local law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
